WASHINGTON (Jan. 27, 2025) – HSMAI Washington DC Chapter today invited Washington metropolitan area hospitality professionals to register for its 2025 Sales Academy, to be held Feb. 6 at the Hyatt Regency Dulles, Herndon, Virginia.
Participants will receive updated DMV market data (DC-Maryland-Virginia) and learn best practices for hotel sales, including how to use data to supercharge their sales pipelines. Experts from Cendyn, a global integrated hotel technology and services company, will demonstrate how to identify the best sales prospects using the company’s database of actualized events.
The Sales Academy will feature Knowland by Cendyn presentations by Natalie Rausch, director, training & engagement, and Jessica Carey, vice president, customer operations. Juli Jones, senior vice president, HSMAI, will present a bonus session on HSMAI’s Certified Hotel Sales Leader certification program, designed to elevate expertise and leadership in hotel sales.
“With prospects in hand, Sales Academy participants will learn how to use prior booking details to develop an outreach program that stands out among their competitors,” said Ellen Wilson, HSMAI Washington DC managing director. “Participants should bring their fully charged laptop computers and be ready to participate.”
The HSMAI Washington DC Sales Academy will be held Feb. 6 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Dulles, 2300 Dulles Corner Blvd., Herndon, Virginia. The cost is $50 for members and $65 for nonmembers. Parking is free for attendees during the day of the event and $15 for overnight guests.
